"Captain, I regret to inform you Ensign Kim is dead."
Janeway just shrugged. It wasn't the first time Harry Kim had died, after all.
"Dismissed."
Tuvok left the Captain alone in her Ready Room. Sealing the doors, she opened a
locked drawer and retrieved a packet. She walked to the replicator, got a glass
of water, and added the contents of the packet to it.
A fully-formed Asian Ensign appeared.
"Welcome back, Ensign Kim. Return to your quarters and access the
Log."
"Yes, Ma'am."
Kathryn smiled, wishing she could tell Starfleet how well the Prototype
Replacable Officer test was going.
